Warriors see off plucky Blues
Tries from Gordon Reid and Tim Swinson, coupled with a pair of Duncan Weir penalties, helped Glasgow into a 20-0 lead at the break.
To their credit, the Blues made more of the running in the second half as Dan Fish's score brought them back into it.
And although Simone Favaro crossed for the Warriors, late tries from Ellis Jenkins and Macauley Cook ensured that the visitors returned to Cardiff with a losing bonus point to their name.
Glasgow have still only lost one home Pro12 clash since Round One - a 11-14 loss to Edinburgh on January 2 - as they continue to
look up the table at the play-off places.
An early Weir penalty was added to by the rampaging Reid on ten minutes as he burst over the line following a spell of attacking pressure.
Weir was perfect with the conversion and 10-0 almost became 15-0 on the quarter-of-an-hour mark when Mark Bennett appeared to round off a fine move by dotting down, only for the TMO to rule the Scotland international had dropped the ball while attempting to ground it.
Weir settled for a 20th-minute penalty instead and although the Blues began to come into the game after that, they conceded again on the stroke of half-time.
Reid banged through a number of tackles before a couple of phases later Swinson reached out and slammed the ball down for the try - Weir duly adding the conversion for a 20-0 advantage at the break.
A 56th-minute Rhys Patchell penalty from ten metres out finally got the visitors on the board but it took until the final eight minutes for the Blues to truly show what they are capable of.
A neat kick through had Fish haring after it and after consultation with the TMO, the Welshman was awarded the try that narrowed the deficit to 12 points.
Favaro's try from close-range with five minutes left then looked to have quelled any hopes the Blues had of leaving Scotstoun with a point.
But on 79 minutes, Jenkins was the beneficiary of an inexorable driving maul as he dotted down before, incredibly, with time seeping into the red there was another try for the visitors.
Some superb phases were capitalised upon by Cook who dived over in the corner to get a losing bonus point despite Patchell missing the conversion.
However, the Blues' top-six aspirations undoubtedly took a serious blow with the defeat as the search for a first win in Scotland since April 2014 goes on.
