What is the real reason for Wild's PE visit?

EPRU President Andre Rademan confirmed to rugby365 that Wild was in town, but declined to give any details.

"Yes, he was here for a visit," Rademan said.

"He had a look at the [Nelson Mandela Bay] University's sports facilities. We had lunch together and he was my guest in the President's suite at the Pro14 match between the [Southern] Kings and Cheetahs at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium [this past] Saturday, before leaving Port Elizabeth after the game.

"More than that I can't say."

While most people will immediately make a link between the German, owner of French giants Stade Francais, and the need of the EPRU to generate some much-needed funds, it is clearly too sensitive a subject for the EP boss to discuss.

Wild, who also visited Cape Town and with flew in with his own private jet, is apparently on a 'golf tour' in South Africa.

The millionaire is also heavily involved in rugby in Germany, where he runs the Wild Rugby Academy in Heidelberg.

One of the many South Africans involved in the academy is former South African Sevens star and Kings assistant coach Vuyo Zangqa.
