All Blacks still wary of hapless Boks
The Springboks suffered their third defeat of the year when they went down 17-23 to the Wallabies in Brisbane on Saturday. It was also the Boks' second defeat of the Rugby Championship after they went down 24-26 to Argentina in Round Two of the tournament.
Allister Coetzee and his team have received a lot of criticism for their lacklustre performances, but that is something the All Blacks will not take into account when they prepare for the clash with their old foes.
Instead, Kaino believes the Springboks will be using Argentina's spirited performance in Hamilton last weekend as motivation to try and topple the mighty All Blacks.
"Confidence or complacency definitely doesn't fit into our thinking," Kaino told stuff.co.nz.
"We don't really focus too much on the results and what they've been through. We know every time the Springboks play the All Blacks it's always been tight.
Kaino added: "We know the Argies put us under a lot of pressure and South Africa would have put that under a microscope and they'll try and put that into practice at the weekend.
"They put us under a lot of pressure through our heart with their offloads. I'm sure they'll [South Africa] have a little bit of that in their game at the weekend."
The Springboks have lost a number of stalwarts to overseas commitments, retirement and injury since last year, but Kaino is not taking too much note of the absentees.
"They've lost a lot of experience but they've [brought] in a lot of energy and excitement.
"If you look at those players individually they're the form players of Super Rugby.
"Once they get those combinations tight they'll be hard to stop," Kaino added.
