Half-ton up for Forbes
Frank Halai and Solomon King are back in the New Zealand team for the final two tournaments of the IRB Sevens World Series - in Glasgow (May 5 and 6) and London (May 12 and 13).
They replace Kylem O'Donnell and Lolagi Visinia after missing the most recent tournament in Tokyo.
The rest of the squad remains unchanged, with Toby Arnold and Scott Curry unavailable for selection due to injury.
The team was named following New Zealand's 19-35 loss to Australia at the weekend.
Captain DJ Forbes will play in his 50th IRB Sevens World Series tournament in Scotland and teammate Lote Raikabula could notch up his 50th appearance if he plays both tournaments.
Tietjens said the match against Australia served as a good opportunity for some young and newer talent, and players coming back from injury, to have a run against a quality international side.
"We know that these final two tournaments will be tough; Fiji are right behind us on the ladder and we will have to be at the top of our game if we want to finish the season in that top spot," he said.
The defending Champions head into the final two tournaments of the season as Series leaders on 128 points. Fiji is in second place on 122 points.
Players not considered for selection due to injury are Toby Arnold (knee) and Scott Curry (shoulder).
