NZ Sevens call up three for Singapore
Antonio Kiri Kiri, Josh van Leishout and Isaac Te Aute will join the New Zealand side that finished second to Fiji in Hong Kong, while Pita Ahki (shoulder), Sam Dickson (leg), Tim Mikkelson (ankle), and Lewis Ormond (foot) have been ruled out with injuries.
Former captain DJ Forbes is also returning to New Zealand as part of his long term conditioning plan to ensure he is in the best possible shape to be in contention for the New Zealand Olympic Sevens team. The Sevens veteran equalled the World Series record for tournament appearances of 79 at the Hong Kong event.
New Zealand were drawn in Pool B for the eighth round of the series and will play USA, France and Canada at the Singapore event.
The team remains second (123 points) in the series, one point ahead of South Africa (122) and five points behind leaders, Fiji (128), with three tournaments left in the season in Singapore, Paris and London.
