Stormers blow Eagles away

The Cape franchise scored two unanswered converted first half tries in front of an enthusiastic crowd in George, to hold a fairly comfortable 14-0 lead.

Head coach Robbie Fleck made wholesale changes at half-time as he sought to give as many players as possible a chance to get some game-time in the sweltering heat.

The second half brought about a try-fest as the Eagles grabbed two tries of their own, with only one being converted. A further three points from Leegan Moos' boot helped the Eagles post 15 points against the Super Rugby franchise.

The Stormers turned on the style as they ran in a further four tries to put the Eagles out of their misery and claim the comfortable win.

Their final friendly will be against Argentina's Jaguares at Newlands, a fortnight before they take on the Bulls.
