Bulls sweating over Bok prop

Springbok prop Trevor Nyakane sprained his shoulder in the humiliating loss at Ellis Park.

He is a doubtful starter ahead of their Round 14 encounter with the Hurricanes at Loftus Versfeld this coming Saturday.

Team doctor Herman Rossouw said a scan has revealed "good news".

"It doesn't appear that anything was torn," Rossouw said.

"We will monitor his progress during the week and an assessment will be made on his fitness [availability] later in the week.

"The Bulls suffered a few other 'injury niggles' against the Lions this past weekend.

Sibahle Maxwane sustained a concussion in a clash with Lions flyhalf Elton KJantjies.

He was taken from the field for a concussion test and did not return.

Although he is "recovering well", his availability for this weekend's match against the Hurricanes will also only be determined later this week.

Meanwhile, flyhalf Francois Brummer and Jade Stiglingh both suffered muscle sprains this past weekend,

They did not partake in training on Monday. They will also be accessed later in the week.
