Stormers sweating over Willemse

The 19-year-old has a quad haematoma after suffering a big knock in his side's 27-34 defeat to the Waratahs in Sydney last weekend.

Stormers assistant coach Paul Feeney said they are unsure whether he will be available for their Super Rugby Round Three clash against the Crusaders.

It [Willemse's availability] depends how he comes through in the next 48 hours," said Feeney

"He's got a haematoma to his quad - he got a big knock.

"If we were playing on Thursday, he wouldn't be able to play, so we are going to see how he goes over the next 48 hours. We will assess him day to day."

If Willemse does not recover in time George Whitehead could wear the No.10 jersey against the Crusaders.

The Stormers will also have the option of moving Dillyn Leyds into the flyhalf role.

"We got confidence in George Whitehead and he did a reasonable job [against the Waratahs] and he would have learnt a bit playing at that level as well," said Feeney.
