CONFIRMED: Bulls prop set to join Edinburgh

Speculations of Schoeman's departure made the headlines last weekend, however, the Bulls finally confirmed the news via their website.

The 23-year-old's exit will surely be felt given that he has been Bulls coach John Mitchell’s first-choice loosehead this season.

Despite his current form, it seems he is not in Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus’ immediate plans. Especially after not being included among a list of Bulls players who attended an alignment camp in Vanderbijlpark between April 1-4.

The Bulls revealed that they have done everything to keep the young prop at Loftus, however, Schoeman's personal ambitions and goals to fueled the move to the Scottish side.

"The Bulls did the best to try and persuade the young prop to remain at Loftus, however with personal ambitions and goals at the forefront of his decision, he humbly declined a compelling offer," the statement read.

"Schoeman is an extremely driven individual who has a hunger to play internationally while experiencing the world.

"He is a larger than life and lovable personality and will be sorely missed by his peers and the fans alike at Loftus.

"We sincerely thank him for his unwavering commitment to the team and the brand, both on and off the field, and would like to take this opportunity to wish him all the success he so deserves,"
