Sharks next on Jaguares' menu

The Sharks are currently third in the South African Conference and eighth overall after their latest victory.

"It is a great result. We obviously needed this game badly to get our campaign properly back on track, so I am really pleased with the result," Du Preez told reporters after the match.

"It was a helluva tough game they [Chiefs] are a really physical side, but I am really pleased with the performance. There were a couple of opportunities that we didn’t take and that is something we really have to work on."

The Sharks are one point behind the Jaguares in the standings and they face the Argentinian outfit in a crucial clash in Buenos Aires next weekend.

The Jaguares have been in fine form over the last few weeks. After winning four from four on their Australasian tour, the Jaguares returned to Buenos Aires where they hammered the Bulls 54-24.

"We just got to win every game and that is our aim, so we want to enjoy tonight [Saturday] it was a good victory and then we will take on the Jags next weekend," said the Sharks coach.

Du Preez added: "The Jaguares is a full-blown international team, so it is a Test team we are playing against. They got good quality players and I think they sorted out their discipline and they are playing great rugby."
