Bulls pay dear price for priceless win

Two players suffered injuries in the victory, their first win away from home this season.

Veteran Namibian captain Renaldo Bothma fractured his forearm and will be sidelined for at least six weeks.

Flyhalf Tony Jantjies could also be ruled out of the Super Rugby clash against the Southern Kings at Loftus Versfeld this coming Saturday.

Jantjies left the field with an injured rib early on the encounter with the Sharks and will be reassessed later in the week - before a call is made on his availability.

Springbok  flank Roelof Smit injured his MCL during the Blue Bulls's quarterfinal encounter with the Sharks XV in a domestic provincial competition this past Sunday and will be out of action for between six and eight weeks.

It is the latest in a horror run of injuries for the young loose forward.

He made his Bok debut in November, but tore a bicep and has not played since.

He was 'eased' back in the domestic competition - instead of playing Super Rugby - but lasted just 10 minutes before injury struck again.

Travis Ismaiel has returned to full training, while Handré Pollard and Jamba Ulengo will partake in selected training sessions this week.
