All or nothing for Brumbies
The Brumbies have shown good character in a solid start to the season to top the Australian conference, but lock Leon Power believes it will mean nothing unless they can beat the Sharks this weekend.
Following the win over the Highlanders last week Power said he was pleased with the way the team was heading but knew there was plenty more hard work to get through before he could start giving his side a wrap.
"Its obviously good to win, but looking over the game there’s a lot more we need to work on," Power said.
"It all means nothing if we can't get over the Sharks this weekend, we're basically back to square one."
Powers said that although the Brumbies have impressed so far this season, the key would be for them to put that behind them and focus on the challenge that the Sharks will present.
He said: "We're just going week to week. We need to wipe that Highlanders game and focus all energy on the Sharks and not get too far ahead of ourselves."
Whilst the Brumbies have exceeded the expectations of many people so far this season, one person who has not been surprised is backline coach Stephen Larkham.
He commented: "Others expectations have been exceeded. We've been training for a long period now, the stuff there doing on the paddock is a reflection of how hard they've worked in the pre-season.”
