Blow for Stormers as Bok star undergoes surgery
NEWS: Springbok and Stormers star Pieter-Steph du Toit will be out of action for a lengthy period.
Du Toit underwent surgery on Sunday after he suffered a haematoma to his left thigh.
The loose forward left the field during the second half of his team's 14-33 defeat to the Blues at Newlands on Saturday.
The initial prognosis is that he will be out of action for two months.
It is a massive blow for the Stormers as the 2019 World Player of the Year has been in great form for the Cape side so far this season.
The Stormers have already lost hooker Bongi Mbonambi to injury for the season, while captain Siya Kolisi has been out of action since the beginning of February with a knee injury.
The Stormers have a bye in Round Six of Super Rugby before they travel to Durban to face the Sharks.
