Bulls limp back into Super Rugby

Five key players will be on the sidelines when the Bulls travel to Argentina to face the Jaguares on June 2.

"On our long-term list we still have Handré Pollard, who is recovering from his knee and shoulder surgery, so he's going to be out for the rest of the year," Bulls team doctor Herman Rossouw said.

"Warrick Gallant sustained an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament, which was repaired two weeks ago. He is also expected to make a return early next year.

"Jan Serfontein, as previously stated by the Springboks medical staff, sustained a scaphoid fracture which was operated on.

"Luckily it seems like his recovery will be speedier than initially expected and he is likely to be back in 12 weeks.

"On our other list of injuries we've got Jacques Potgieter, who cam back from the Sharks. He's still making a recovery from a knee injury [which has sidelined him since the beginning of the year].

"It's expected for him to be back in two weeks time.

"Then we've got Rudolph Snyman. He injured his ankle playing for South Africa A against the England Saxons.

"Scans revealed that he's got a grade three injury to his ankle and is only expected to make a return in four to six weeks' time."
