CONFIRMED: Lions bolster backline with a former Stormer
TRANSFER NEWS: The Lions have bolstered their backline stocks once again.
The Johannesburg team on Tuesday confirmed the signing of former Stormers utility back EW Viljoen.
Viljoen, 25, joined Leicester Tigers at the start of the 2019-2020 season. However, his time was cut short by the COVID-19 lockdown.

This latest confirmed signing comes after the Lions announced on Monday that Bulls captain and centre Burger Odendaal will cross the Jukskei.

Viljoen is a versatile player, who can play fullback, wing and centre, which he has done for the Stormers and Western Province.
He gained representative honours at Schools and Under-20s level for South Africa.
Viljoen made his Currie Cup debut with Western Province as a teenager in 2014 and then went to the World Under-20 Championship in 2015, starting the semifinal against England and the third-place game against France on the way to collecting a bronze medal.
He made his Super Rugby debut for the Stormers back in 2017.
