England star to boost Crusaders scrumhalf stocks

TRANSFER NEWS: Willi Heinz will take the field for the Crusaders in the 2024 season, continuing his stellar return to Super Rugby.

The scrumhalf debuted for the Crusaders in 2010 and made a big impact before heading to England to play for Gloucester and the Worcester Warriors. He earned 13 caps for England, including five appearances at the 2019 World Cup.

He’ll line up alongside Mitch Drummond and Noah Hotham as scrumhalf for the championship side.

"I’ve loved being back in camp in 2023, training at Rugby Park and taking the field with the boys,” Heinz said.

“I’m excited to work with Noah and Drummy again – the future of the club is looking very good.”
