Fleck still to identify best XV

The Stormers have adopted a rotation policy - most notably in the pack where there has often been a lot of shuffling in the back and front rows.

Fleck said that rotations are implemented to keep his team fresh in the extended Super Rugby season, however, he feels they have some way to go in deciding what their strongest possible team is.

"I have got to develop a squad that's going to carry us right through this tournament," said Fleck at the team's High Performance Centre in Bellville on Monday.

"With the injuries that we have had I think that we have been able to juggle it quite well and effectively. We have been able to keep our players quite fresh and I think the rotation worked last week.

"The rotations are working and at some stage we are going to start focussing on a first-choice side and when that opportunity arises we will follow through."

Meanwhile, the Cape side are coming off a 22-29 defeat to the Lions and will be looking to bounce back against the travelling Reds at Newlands on Saturday.

Fleck believes the Queensland outfit will pose a totally different challenge this weekend.

"They [Reds] have gone through some changes - not only in terms of management, but in terms of style of play.

"They were a little bit conservative when they started off, but if you look at the way they played against the Highlanders, they were deadly from broken play...and from turnover possession.

"They got some exciting backs and some young players and when they get a bit of space they are quite deadly."

The Stormers have no new serious injury concerns after their bruising encounter against the Lions.

Loose forward Siyamthanda Kolisi had bone bruising in is knee, while lock JD Schickerling had a stiff back. Both are expected to be available for the clash against the Reds.

Meanwhile, Stormers hooker Siyabonga Ntubeni could return to action after missing the trip to Johannesburg because of a hamstring niggle.
