Jaguares run Georgia ragged
PRE-SEASON REPORT: The Jaguares got their preparations underway for this year's Super Rugby tournament with a convincing 66-3 win over a Georgia XV side in Mar del Plata on Friday.
The Argentinians ran in 10 tries on their way to victory, while head coach Gonzalo Quesada would have been pleased with his side's defence after denying the Georgians a try during the 80 minutes.
"We were able to measure ourselves and try some variants that we have been working on," said scrumhalf Tomás Cubelli.
"We found what we were looking for, and now it is time to recover.
"I am happy with the attitude of the team because there is healthy competition in the group."
Fullback Joaquín Tuculet was pleased with his team's defence.
"Today [Friday] the defence went very well.
"At times we were inaccurate, but the truth is that it is good to get the ball and retain it.
"We will continue working on that to be the best come February 1," said Tuculet.
