Jantjies is still recovering from a wrist injury. Should he fail to prove his fitness ahead of the fixture, Boshoff will start at flyhalf.

In the pack, Warwick Tecklenburg returns to the staring XV in place of Ruan Ackermann. The latter drops down to the bench.

Lock Andries Ferreira has also been bracketed with Lourens Erasmus in the second row.
