Reds rue inaccuracy and indiscipline

The touring Australian side were outscored five tries to three in their 22-41 and Stiles believes they gave the Bulls the ascendancy in the game with their poor execution.

"We are disappointed with that first half performance," said Stiles.

"I felt that we were very inaccurate in what we did in that first half. We knew the importance of tackling the Bulls' players low, but we tackled too high and they got on the front foot.

"We gave away soft penalties, which allowed the Bulls to play the game deep in our half and that is the style of rugby the Bulls love."

One area of the game that did please Stiles was the scrums. He felt his team showed massive improvement at the set piece.

"There were a couple of scrums late in the game where we came back well and we put the Bulls' tighthead under pressure.

"It was a good battle. I though we performed well at times, but not consistent enough. It was probably the same with the rest of the game," he added.
