On the other hand, the Rebels have done well in Australian derby matches, winning four from five with the only defeat coming at home to the Brumbies in Round 12.

The Reds will be out try to prove a point this week – as will the Rebels, who were thrashed 26-85 by the Crusaders in their last game.

"It's hard coming into this game – we lost to teams we supposed to beat. Our focus this week is the Rebels, but we also want to display our best form," said Reds centre Samu Kerevi.

"As a team, this week we want to put in a great perfomance – something we will be proud of.

"We want to finish on high note as a team and we will try to put in a massive perfomance this week.

"Really for me it's not about stats and numbers, our main focus is to finish season on high note. We want to make sure that our supporters are proud of us, we are disappointed with our performance lately, but we want to shift the focus to Rebels this week."
