Star player added to Bulls' growing injury list

INJURY UPDATE: The Bulls have one new injury concern after their 12-27 defeat to the Jaguares in Buenos Aires.

Captain Lood de Jager will play no part in his team's next couple of games after picking up a shoulder injury in Buenos Aires.

"He will be going for a scan tomorrow [Tuesday] morning to determine the extent of the injury, but he is definitely out for the next two weeks," said Bulls team doctor Herman Rossouw.

Johnny Kotze was discharged from hospital after he was diagnosed with viral meningitis.

"He [Kotze] has fully recovered and he will be having a slow integration into training, but he will be on the sideline for a further three weeks," said Rossouw.

He added: "Marnitz Boshoff and Duncan Matthews are still going to be out for more than six weeks, while Edgar Marutlulle, Marco van Staden and RG Snyman are all expected to make a return in four weeks’ time.

"Travis Ismaiel, Jano Venter, Roelof Smit and Jaco Visagie have all started selected training sessions with the team but none of them will be available for this weekend [against the Lions]."
