Stormers to play at CT Stadium

The Boland Cavaliers and Stormers will play at the Cape Town Stadium in Green Point in their annual pre-season outing next Saturday.


This match, between neighbours Boland and Stormers, has become a popular fixture as valuable preparation for both teams in their respective campaigns - the Cavaliers in the Vodacom Cup and the Stormers in Super Rugby.


With the main match kicking off at 16.00, a Boland XV team will face a Western Province Vodacom Cup XV at the same venue, in a curtain raiser at 14.00.


"The Cape Town Stadium was built as a venue for all the people of Cape Town," said Mayoral Committee Member for Tourism, Events and Economic Development in the City of Cape Town, Councillor Garreth Bloor.


"It is an iconic Cape Town asset and a fully inclusive facility for all.


"This match is a great opportunity for rugby fans to enjoy their sport and to enjoy the best of the Cape Town Stadium."
