VIDEO: Jaco to terrorise Jaguares

SUPER RUGBY SPOTLIGHT: The Stormers will be out to suffocate the Jaguares when the two teams meet in their Super Rugby Round Four encounter at Newlands.

Speaking to reporters ahead of Saturday’s encounter, Stormers head coach John Dobson said the returning Jaco Coetzee in the back row will have an important role play in slowing the Argentinians' ball down.

Coetzee missed the Stormers 33-30 win over the Lions in Johannesburg last week because of concussion, but he has been brought straight back into the starting XV for this important clash.

"Last year they [Jaguares] had the quickest ruck ball in the competition. We haven’t got many guys slowing the ball down in the union and Jaco [Coetzee] is probably the No.1 at that. Having him back will be important," said Dobson.

He added: "We have to take the speed of ball away from them because if they don't get ball speed then we take away the momentum that they need for those little tricks."

There were eight tries in the match between the Stormers and the Lions last week, but Dobson is expecting more of an arm-wrestle at Newlands this Saturday.

"With the nature of the venue and the nature of the style of play, both teams will be trying to take away the other team's space.

"We can't let them get momentum and they will feel the same about us.

"I’m expecting more attrition. This is going to be a real physical clash," said the Stormers coach.

The Stormers enter the match unbeaten with three wins from three games, while the Jaguares have two wins and one loss so far in the tournament.
