The 2020 Super Rugby Unlocked trophy represents the ultimate tribute to the pure resilience, longevity and passion of one of the toughest competitions in the history of rugby.

The trophy’s core materials of brass and aircraft aluminium are edgy and lightweight, but tough and resilient, representing the evolution of the competition and the physical attributes it has demanded of the players.

The base contains the name of every single winning team, and from their collective rugby glory, seven arms emerge and spiral and twist upwards in flashes of silver, echoing the players and teams that have reached onwards and upwards towards rugby glory over 25 years.

After five rounds of action, the Bulls are the log leaders on 19 points (with four wins and loss), followed by the Sharks and Stormers (both on 13 points – three wins), the Cheetahs (12 – two wins and a draw), Lions (10 – one win and a draw), Pumas (five – one win) and the winless Griquas (two).

The men from Pretoria are expected to be crowned the inaugural Super Rugby Unlocked champions. Jake White's team need only four points or more in their final match against the Pumas next week to wrap up the trophy.
