French referees sue Toulon President
French referees said they were suing Toulon President Mourad Boudjellal for defamation after he made lurid accusations in the wake of a Top 14 defeat.
The referees union (UNAR) are angry that Boudjellal spoke of "refereeing sodomy" in the aftermath of his team's 19-25 league loss to Clermont on January 8.
"I am not surprised that they are attacking me.
"With what they are paid, they need the money," said the Toulon chief.
Boudjellal is also facing a 60-day suspension by the national federation for his outburst.
