Toulon's credit card out again?
Toulouse hooker William Servat could become the latest star to be snagged by Toulon in the Top 14 side's latest shopping spree, according to French media reports.
The 33-year-old is out of contract at Toulouse at the end of the season and could join superstars Jonny Wilkinson, Matt Giteau, Bakkies Botha, Joe van Niekerk, and new recruit Freddie Michalak at the ambitious club.
After 13 seasons at Toulouse, Servat hinted last year that it might finally be time to move on, stating: "I always saw myself as a one-club man but, little by little, I've started telling myself that might not necessarily be the case."
Toulon President Mourad Boudjellal appears to be attempting to sign as many stars as he can get his hands on to buy a Top 14 title in Manchester City-esque fashion.
If Servat does depart next season it would come as a massive blow to Toulouse, who are currently without Springbok hooker Gary Botha (broken leg) and Bok props Gurthrö Steenkamp (hip injury) and Daan Human (eye socket fracture).
Without Servat the team may be forced to go in search of a new hooker with Argentines Eusebio Guiñazú and Alberto Vernet Basualdo the only other two rakes on their books.
