Baby Boks change one for Maties
South African Under-20 coach Dawie Theron has made one change to his team for Friday's second friendly - against Varsity Cup side, the Maties - that will conclude their training camp in Stellenbosch.
Jan Serfontein, who was named Craven Week Player of the Tournament in 2011, replaces Patrick Howard at inside centre from the team that beat the Ikeys from UCT 31-29 in Cape Town last weekend.
"I'm very proud of the commitment shown by the training squad during our camp," said Theron.
"We're privileged to be able to use the excellent facilities of the Stellenbosch Academy of Sport and it was good to see the players respond to that by lifting their game on the training field and in the gym.
"We all realise the importance of the next couple of months. The Junior World Championships is just more than four months away and we would like to get the people of South Africa behind us. The only way of doing that, is going into the tournament properly prepared.
"With that in mind, all players attending this camp will get an opportunity to showcase their talent and what they have learnt during the past two weeks against Maties on Friday," he explained.
The 2012 Junior World Championships takes place from June 4 to 22 in the Western Cape. Before then, however, an Argentinean U20 touring side will visit South Africa in April for three matches against the SA U20s.
