Under-20 Championship wrap

ROUND ONE: The World Rugby Under-20 Championship kicked off in Argentina on Tuesday.

Australia, South Africa, Wales started with wins in Rosario while New Zealand, Ireland and France won in Santa Fe.

In the first matches of the first round of World Rugby's Under-20 World Championship,  Australia and South Africa started with comfortable wins.

To be fair, Australiaq and South Africa played the bottom sides of the 2019 Under-20 Six Nations Championship, Italy and Scotland.

Australia played Italy in Santa Fe, who were fifth in the Six Nations and beat them 36-12 after leading 17-0 at half-time

South Africa played Scotland in Rosario, who were wooden-spoonists in the Six Nations, 43-19, after playing with the wind and leading just 17-12 at half-time.

Australia scored five tries to two,  South Africa six tries to three.

After leading 19-6 at half-time, New Zealand enjoyed a big win over Georgia, scoring seven tries to one.
