Bok star to join Nienaber at Leinster?

SPOTLIGHT: A big twist has emerged around RG Snyman's transfer saga.

Speculation and reports have been rife since it was announced that the Bok lock will not be extending his stay with Irish province Munster.

There were rumours that a couple of South African teams were after his signature. Another report out of France linked him with a move to Bath.

However, according to the Irish Times, Snyman is set to stay in Ireland and join Munster's rivals Leinster.

It would seem him reunite with former Springbok coach Jacques Nienaber.

According to the report, Leinster are lining up Snyman as a replacement for fellow Bok lock Jason Jenkins, who is reportedly leaving the Dublin side.

The story continues below...

Snyman has only made 10 appearances in four seasons for Munster. That was due to two serious knee injuries.

He is currently on the sidelines again with a chest/shoulder injury he suffered in South Africa's 12-11 win over the All Blacks in the World Cup Final in October.

He is expected to return to the playing field in March.
