Bulls warn against 'black market scalpers'

NEWS: The Blue Bulls Company issued a stern warning to all fans against the use of third-party outlets and online websites when obtaining tickets for matches at Loftus Versfeld.

They revealed that many of those claiming to be accredited or approved resellers of United Rugby Championship, Champions Cup and Springbok Test match tickets for games at Loftus Versfeld is not.

"We have noted an unprecedented spike in the number of ticketing offers our fans are being presented via multiple authorized secondary channels," BBCo Chief Commercial Officer Stefan van der Merwe said.

"These platforms have also introduced unapproved price markups for a product they cannot guarantee to the fans," Van der Merwe added.

"We are a brand that is fully dedicated to ensuring that we always offer complete experiences around our stadium, supplementing the unmissable great product that is on offer.

"Over the next couple of months we have incredible rugby battles set for Loftus and to avoid seeing more of these cases where the fans end up disappointed at being turned away at the gates, we urge our supporters to only purchase their tickets through TicketPro and the Bulls App."

Tickets for the Trans-Jukskei derby between the Bulls and Lions on March 4 are selling fast, whilst tickets for the much anticipated South Africa versus Australia Test went on sale last Wednesday, February 15.

"We appeal to all fans to rather safeguard their hard-earned money and buy tickets from trusted and approved retailers otherwise there is, unfortunately, no way to guarantee that they will get their tickets.

"Often they will not have access to the stadium because the tickets they are issued with do not work on our systems.

"The other sad reality is how these channels often do not issue refunds, resulting in many fans losing out," Van der Merwe added.
