Lions reveal replacements for double injury blow
SQUAD UPDATE: The Lions have called up JP Smith and Ruhan Straeuli to join the travelling squad in Europe.
The Johannesburg side have been struggling in the opening rounds of the United Rugby Championship, recording three defeats to the Stormers, Edinburgh and Benetton.
Aside from the losses, Ivan van Rooyen also sits with a couple of injury setbacks.
Loosehead prop Morgan Naude and Darrien Landsberg are the latest players to be added to the already long injury list.
Naude injured his shoulder against Benetton on Sunday and is set to undergo surgery.
The 25-year-old Naude could be out for up to 12 weeks.
Lock Darrien Landsberg sustained a hamstring injury during the same match.
Both players have returned to South Africa, with JP Smith and Ruhan Straeuli joining the team as replacements.
The injuries come just a week after Rhynardt Rijnsburger's setback, which saw him being replaced by Ruan Smith on tour.
The Lions are currently in Wales preparing for their round four clash against Scarlets.
