Sharks' Bok centre suspended for four games
SPOTLIGHT: Sharks head coach Sean Everitt has confirmed that Rohan Janse van Rensburg has received a suspension for foul play.
The Springbok centre received a red card for a high tackle on Ross Byrne in the Sharks' 34-54 defeat to Leinster in Dublin last weekend.
"Rohan Janse van Rensburg was suspended for four games," Everitt told reporters on Friday.
Van Rensburg's spot in the starting team for Saturday's clash against Glasgow in Durban has been taken by Marnus Potgieter.
"Rohan has done really well since he has been at the Sharks. It has almost rejuvenated his career and Saturday reminded me of the games he played so well for the Lions.
"Losing a Springbok does disrupt us somewhat, but it is something you have to deal with in rugby because there are always injuries as well.
"I am just so excited for a guy like Marnus Potgieter who is getting an opportunity to start in the No.13 jersey.
"I've known Marnus for a long period of time and I have been watching him from school. When he was at the Bulls he didn’t get a lot of opportunities at centre.
"He is now getting an opportunity in the position that he has grown up with and playing in, so it's an exciting opportunity for him."

Where is Thaakir?
Meanwhile, Everitt also explained his decision to drop Thaakir Abrahams from his matchday squad.
Anthony Volmink gets the No.11 jersey this week with Makazole Mapimpi providing cover on the bench.
"It was quite an easy decision for us," the Sharks coach explained.
"Thaakir has carried quite a big workload in the pre-season friendlies and he has played every minute on tour for us as well.
"He has also come off a lengthy injury. He was out for almost a year with that knee injury and we felt that he needs to rest this week and that is why we have gone with Anthony who has been part of our squad for a while when we were overseas."
