Stormers star's injury worse than expected
INJURY UPDATE: Stormers head coach John Dobson revealed that Herschel Jantjies' injury was worse than what he expected.
The Springbok scrumhalf has been out of action since his last appearance, which was a Champions Cup clash against London Irish.
Ahead of their United Rugby Championship Round 12 clash against Glasgow on Sunday, Dobson gave an update on Jantjies.
"I thought it was a rib contusion but it turns out it is an intercostal muscle that is torn," said Dobson.
"It's not devastating but it's three or four weeks when I thought it was a one-week injury."
Meanwhile, Dobson also revealed that captain Steven Kitshoff is battling a cold ahead of Sunday's fixture at Scotstoun Stadium.
"Kitsie is a bit under the weather. He has got a bit of a cold, so we are keeping him wrapped up - 100 percent he will be playing," Dobson explained.
"For a guy like Steven Kitshoff it’s a big travel.
"He comes here a lot with the Springboks. To leave Monday night and to get to Glasgow on Wednesday afternoon, it's not surprising he picks up a cold when there is not a lot of sleeping.
"He is not running temperature. The doctor just thought he needs a bit of rest."
