The latest on Sbu Nkosi
INJURY UPDATE: Injured Springbok wing Sibusiso Nkosi has confirmed that he underwent successful surgery.
The Springbok and Sharks wing took to social media to give an update on his successful ankle operation, promising he 'will be back soon'.
The speedster wrote on Instagram: "Thank God. The surgery was successful and will be back soon.
"To those who've been missing me on the field. I'll be back to entertain you soon."
The 26-year-old has not played for the Sharks since February after struggling with health issues.
At the time, Sharks coach Sean Everitt revealed the wing's absence was due to a “gastric intestinal virus".
The wing returned last week ahead of Sharks' United Rugby Championship clash against the Lions.
However, he suffered an ankle injury during training which consequently required surgery.
It is unclear how long the speedster will be sidelined.
Meanwhile, last month Everitt confirmed that Nkosi “has been offered to go to the Bulls”, but nothing was set in stone and those negotiations still need to happen.
