Armentum change three for Cobras

Huis Armentum coach Willem Kruger has made three changes to his matchday squad for their encounter with the Steinhoff Cobras, from the University of Cape Town, next Monday afternoon.

Armentum started their 2009 Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Championships campaign on a high with a 61-19 win over Steinhoff Majuba (Maties) this past Monday - leaving Kruger with some relatively simple selection choices.

In the first of those changes, Leon Pretorius moves up from the bench to replace Gareth Lourens on the left-wing, with the latter dropping out of the matchday 22 altogether.

At flyhalf, first choice Reinhardt Erwee is back from a concussion-enforced lay-off.

Erwee had to sit out Monday's match against Majuba after he got concussed in a warm-up match three weeks ago. Inus Kritzener, who did a good job at No.10 against Majuba, will warm the replacements' bench against the Cobras.

Regular No.10 Erwee is a brilliant goal-kicker and loves attacking the opposition's defence. But keeping up with a strong south wind at UCT should be an altogether difference challenge for him.

"We're glad to have Reinhardt back as he controls the game from flyhalf," coach Kruger told this website. "I am also relieved that there are no injuries from Monday."

Huis Armentum: 15 Tiaan Aucamp, 14 Kobus Neethling, 13 Morkel Hoffmann, 12 Jacques Steenekamp, 11 Leon Pretorius, 10 Reinhardt Erwee, 9 Enrico Schultz, 8 Johnny Schoeman, 7 Dedrik Pretorius (captain), 6 Niekie Potgieter, 5 Joubert Horn, 4 Michael de Wet, 3 Ian Potgieter, 2 Toffie van Tonder, 1 Cobus Greeff.
