Vishuis show their final hand

Steinhoff Vishuis have announced their side for Monday's Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Championships Final against hosts, Steinhoff Dagbreek. Monday's final, at the Danie Craven Stadium, will get underway at 4.15pm and will be televised live on SuperSport.

Vishuis, who hail from Bloemfontein (Shimlas) have been the form side in the 2010 Steinhoff Koshuis Champs and only the best performance from the Stellenbosch team will stop a Kovsies team from winning a second successive Koshuis title.

Of course, Huis Armentum - Shimlas' representatives in last year's competition - were convincing winners last year, but Vishuis ended their reign during the Shimlas Koshuisrugby competition late last year.

Vishuis and Dagbreek have met once before this year, in both teams' opening league matches of the season; with Vishuis scoring four tries to one in a convincing 24-7 victory.

"Ja, that victory could count in our favour, psychologically, when we do battle again," Vishuis captain Jos de Klerk told varsitycup.co.za. "We will know what to expect from them and will be familiar with the conditions there. But a final is always a close encounter," he warned.

The winners of Monday's Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Final will walk off with a 'Celebration Prize' of R15,000 - whilst the Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Championship Man of the Match will receive an all-inclusive Chauffeur Drive anywhere in SA, proudly sponsored by Hertz, and worth R2,000.

The 2010 Koshuisrugby Final will precede the FNB Varsity Cup presented by Steinhoff International Final between the Maties and the Ikeys - at 6.30pm - the second-ever all-Cape final in the three-year existence of this tournament.
