Carlton League: Tuks still tops
FNB Tuks are still at the top of the Carlton League standings after their crushing 99-5 win over Brits at the weekend.
The 2009 Varsity Cup semifinalists led 38-5 at half-time, before putting on another 61 points in the second half and just missing the 100-point mark in the end.
Aside from Tuks' massive win, there were also Carlton League victories for Varsity Cup side TUT over Harlequins (29-5), Silver Valke over the Naka Bulle (23-6), Centurion over Polisie (28-17) and Eersterust edged out bottom-placed Pretoria, 36-33.
Tuks are not seven points ahead of the second-placed Polisie, with TUT breathing down their necks in third position. Polisie have 25 log points, followed by TUT on 24.
