Hundred-up for ruthless TUT
FNB TUT scored a ruthless 117-3 win over Eersterus in Carlton League action at the weekend.
The Men from TUT led 54-0 at half-time and more than doubled their score in the second half.
Flyhalf and captain Werner Pieterse scored two tries and slotted a massive 15 conversion for a points tally of 40 on the day, whilst fullback Mpho Matsaung ran in a hat-trick of tries.
Left-wing Wynand Willis scored a try double and so did replacement forward Jaco van Emmenis, with TUT sporting 12 try-scorers and 17 tries in all in a free-flowing display.
This win would have served as a huge confidence booster for TUT, having endured a tough 2009 FNB Varsity Cup presented by Steinhoff International campaign, which saw them remain winless throughout.
