Impressive Ikeys win again

FNB UCT recovered from a slow start to claim an impressive 42-23 win over Villager's in the Western Province Super League.

The Ikeys conceded three early tries, but they composed themselves to hit back later in the first half and claim a 23-20 lead at half-time.

New UCT flyhalf Doug Mallett impressed once again alongside Matt Rosslee (who lined up at inside centre), whilst it was also good to see 2008 Varsity Cup Back of the Tournament James Martin back on the wing for the 'Blue-and-Whites'.

Mallett scored one of UCT's five tries, also converting four of them and adding three penalty goals for a personal tally of 22 points on the day.

SA Universities stars Rosslee and fullback Therlow Pietersen, along with fit-again utility back Dave Clayton, also crossed the whitewash for the Ikeys, whilst the visitors also picked up a penalty try.

The Tigers have now recorded their third successive bonus point victory in the last seven days, scoring an impressive 143 points, whilst conceding just 47 along the way.
