Pukke prepare for Roodepoort challenge

Pukke coach Rudy Joubert has announced his starting line-up for Saturday's Pirates Grand Challenge clash against Roodepoort at the Fanie du Toit Sports Grounds in Potchefstroom.

According to a report on suparugby.com, utility back Willem Barnard could make a surprise appearance at flyhalf some time, despite being named to start in the No.14 shirt against Roodepoort.

Cecil Dumont is down to start at flyhalf, but he could find himself at inside centre should Barnard's proposed move materialise.

At this stage, Randall April and Trokkie de Kock are set to start at centre, but Pukke's canny coach could well surprise at the last minute.

Nelis Nel will once again lead Pukke into battle, with regular No.8 and skipper Willem van der Wal currently representing the SA Students' Seven-a-side squad in France.

The Pukke team (v Roodepoort): 15 Worsie Kotzé, 14 Willem Barnard, 13 Randall April, 12 Trokkie de Kock, 11 Willem Barnard, 10 Cecil Dumont, 9 Andries Mahoney, 8 Nelis Nel (captain), 7 Dirco Rautenbach, 6 Savvas Nel, 5 Francois Robbertze, 4 Grant le Roux, 3 Stefan Bezuidenhout, 2 Stoffel Duvenhage, 1 Jaco Koch.
Replacements: TBC.
