Same again as Pukke chase home SF

FNB Pukke coach Rudy Joubert has named an unchanged 22 for Monday afternoon's FNB Varsity Cup presented by Steinhoff International clash against UCT in Potchefstroom.

Joubert has not tampered with the unit that smashed TUT 56-14 this past Monday as last year's losing semifinalists chase a home play-off match against the selfsame FNB Ikey Tigers.

If Pukke beat UCT with a four-try bonus point - and deny the Capetonians a four-try bonus or a losing bonus point - they will host a semifinal against the Ikeys on Monday, March 23.

However, should the visitors win or claim a bonus point in defeat, they will host a semifinal in Cape Town against the Men from Potch for the second year running.

"Our main focus is to ensure that we win this game (against UCT)," Joubert told varsitycup.co.za this week. "That is our objective."

Looking ahead to the game, specifically, Joubert added: "A game against Ikeys is never going to be easy but I do think that our previous experiences against them have been positive and will certainly help us in our mental preparation."
