UJ overpower UCT
It took only six minutes for Duncan Saffy to plant a seven point try for UJ. Divan Nel added the extra two points allowing UJ to have a nine-point lead over the Cape Town team before the ten-minute mark.
UJ struck again before the strategy break with Aphiwe Dyantyi scoring. The conversion was missed but UCT was still up against it in the early minutes of the first half.
UJ bagge another seven points after Robert de Bruyn got credited with a seven-point try with UCT gradually fell behind.
UJ's fourth try finally sees Nel make up for his two misses with his second conversion of the game, adding 11 points to the Joburg team's tally. Johannes Snyman bagged his second try for UJ pushing their lead up to 37 before the half-time whistle.
In the second half Jeremy Jordan scored another try for UJ, putting the game in official thrashing territory with a score line of 45-0. UJ continue their carnage of UCT by scoring another few tries while UCT's defencee was being cut open.
