Referees for World Cup quarterfinals

The referees concerned are Wayne Barnes of England, Nigel Owens of Wales, Jérôme Garcès of France and Craig Joubert of South Africa

The appointments are done by World Rugby’s match officials selection committee consisting of John Jeffrey (Chairman), Lyndon Bray (SANZAR), Andrew Cole (SANZAR), Donal Courtney (EPCR), Clayton Thomas (Six Nations) and World Rugby referee boss Joël Jutge.

The assistant referees originally chosen for the World Cup as specialists have gone home and the assistant referees for the quarterfinals will be from the remaining eight referees.
