No team tackles more than the Boks
In total the Springboks made 913 tackles in their seven matches with four of their players holding the top four positions in terms of tackles made. Australia is in second spot with 843 tackles.
Francois Louw and Lodewyk de Jager were the tournament's top tacklers with 77 completed tackles. Eben Etzebeth and Schalk Burger are in third and fourth place with 75 tackles each.
Burger also holds the most carries over the advantage line in World Cup history with 95.
Nehe Milner-Skudder who made more metres than any other player in the World Cup - he racked up 561 metres. Ben Smith was second with 526 and Julian Savea fourth with 437.
In turnovers won, Australian David Pocock headed the list with 17 with Louw in second place with 13. France's Thierry Dusautoir and Fiji's Leone Nakarawa are in third and fourth place
Read and Brodie Retallick were equal first in securing six stolen line-outs each during the tournament. Australia's Dean Mumm is in third with three stolen line-outs.
In the points scoring records, Argentina's Nicolas Sanchez topped the list with 97 points and South Africa's Handre Pollard in second with 93. Australia's Bernard Foley and New Zealand's Dan Carter completes the top four with 82 points each.
Savea's eight tries were the most during the tournament while Milner-Skudder was second with six.
Jonah Lomu and Springbok Bryan Habana share the record for most World Cup tries on 15 while Australia's Drew Mitchell has 14, Doug Howlett 13 and Australian Adam Ashley-Cooper 11.
Richie McCaw ended the tournament as the top tackle maker in World Cup history with 225 tackles. Burger was second with 209, France's Thierry Dusautoir third with 188, Springbok Victor Matfield fourth with 136 and Welsh No.8 Taulupe Faletau was fifth with 134.
